Haunted House - WP

Description

I remember walking on the same boardwalk when I was four, seeing the same ferris wheel, the same kiddie rides. Years later much of the magic has been lost. The games and
their operators that were built solely to make kids like me happy have become money magnets for destitute Russian immigrants and screaming little brats begging their parents to spend another fifty dollars until they give in. My grandfather tells me how everything used to be few pennies; a nickel at the very most. Here in the present tense, a nickel won't buy you five pennies, and a penny isn't even worth the thought. The house ride you see here costs $3.00 a person to ride (as of 2004...next year, who knows). I rode it a couple years ago to see how it compared to the thrill I remembered as a kid. On the inside, everything was dirty, broken, or just plain cheap. So is the case with every other ride and attraction in sight. But just as I'm starting to get sick of seeing the same load of consumerism and crap year after year, my nine-year-old cousin Rachael asks me to ride the upside-down roller coaster with her the first time, something I hadn't myself done until I was fifteen or so. Alright, maybe one more ride... then I'll go home.

I know this one! This is Trimpers Haunted House on the boardwalk in Ocean City Maryland. Its been around sinse 1964. The place got a face lift in 2012. Scenes were fixed up, painted and some updating. And its still going strong. You can check out videos of it on YouTube! You still see a woman being cut in half by a buzz saw and zombies now added to it.
